Alamo Heights lacrosse was founded in 2006 by David Monnich. Coach Monnich was instrumental in galvanizing the community, along with the school district, and introducing lacrosse to the area as the first coach and program administrator for Alamo Heights Lacrosse. Our program offers school-based spring season lacrosse to both boys and girls in grades 1 through 12. Since 2017, the Alamo Heights Lacrosse Club has been administered by a parent board as a non-profit 501(c)(3) club program.
In 2023, The Varsity Boys team won the 2023 THSLL Class C State Championship, and our first Varsity Girls team was formed. In just their third year, the girls won the TGHSLL Division III State Championship in 2025. Today, the Alamo Heights Lacrosse Club stands as one of San Antonio’s premier programs and a top statewide contender in Texas lacrosse for both boys and girls.
