Alamo Heights lacrosse was founded in 2006 by David Monnich. Coach Monnich was instrumental in galvanizing the community, along with the school district for introducing lacrosse to the area as Alamo Heights first Coach and program administrator. Our program offers school based Spring season lacrosse to both boys and girls grades 1 through 12.

In 2023, Alamo Heights Lacrosse welcomed the addition of our first girls high school team. The  formation of our girls team was in large part driven by the leadership of student athletes Zizi Azar and Bennett Childs recruiting fellow athletes from various backgrounds to come try something new. The inaugural team finished in the district semifinals and had fun every second of the journey. 2024 looks to expand our girls program into the youth and middle school league competing against other San Antonio programs
